Ferris State University offers programs in engineering, technology, business, health professions, education & human services, and liberal arts & sciences. Some Ferris majors are not offered at any other university in Michigan or the United States. More than 89 percent of the degrees awarded at Ferris align with an in-demand occupation.

Great examples of in-demand and specialized programs include Information Security and Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Animation and Game Design, Automotive Engineering Technology, and Plastics Engineering Technology. Scholarships and Tuition

Ferris State University is pleased to offer the Woodbridge N. Ferris Scholarship opportunities for students entering college for the first time. These scholarships are automatically awarded to international students who are academically eligible.

Scholarship amounts are determined by evaluating both a student’s high school transcript and one submitted score (TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, ACT, or SAT). Students can earn up to $10,000 in academic scholarships per year.

Graduation Ferris

 

International students can count on the Office of International Education to provide a comprehensive orientation that includes airport pick-up, move-in, shopping, and advising. This office is the primary resource for immigration services, international student support, and cultural activities.

Ferris State University offers a choice between 15 residence halls including dormitories, suites, and apartments. Students have easy access to dining halls, laundry, advisors, and lots of activities.

How to Apply:

  • Complete the online application here and select the International – All Degree Levels option
  • Report your English score (TOEFL 61/IELTS 5.5/Duolingo 90)
  • Send official high school transcripts
  • Send official bank statement that shows you have enough funds to study in the US ($32,000)
  • Send a copy of passport

Graduate applicants have additional requirements: higher English score (TOEFL 79/IELTS 6.5/Duolingo 105), university transcripts, academic letters of reference, resume, and a statement of purpose. The MS in Information Security and Intelligence program also requires the GRE (students with relevant professional/academic experience or high GPA may qualify for a waiver).
