Founded in 1898, Mary Immaculate College has built a strong reputation as a distinctive and inclusive university-level, Catholic College. Today, with 4 undergraduate degree programmes and over 30 postgraduate programmes up to doctoral level, the College has almost 3,200 students. MIC offers exceptional teaching, learning and research facilities to students, staff and members of the local, national and international community. The College welcomes international students from all over the world through its partnerships with over 40 universities in Europe, 16 universities in the USA and its exchange link with the Australian Catholic University.

Mary Immaculate College is situated in the leafy southern suburbs of Limerick City, Ireland’s third largest city. With three institutions of higher education, and a combined student population of 20,000, Limerick is a vibrant and exciting city. Limerick is Ireland’s National City of Culture 2014 and is also the home of Munster Rugby. Just ten minutes’ walk from the city centre, Mary Immaculate College is a wonderful base from which to explore historic Limerick, as well as all of Ireland’s most beautiful scenic tourist destinations – Bunratty Castle, the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, the Ring of Kerry, West Cork, etc. The College’s location, just a very short drive (20 minutes) from Shannon International Airport, not only makes travel to and from Brazil more convenient but it also brings short trips to the UK and Europe within easy reach.
